Ohh Valentine’s Day Lobster Thermidor

Still no Machado or Harper signings, maybe the San Diego Padres will give their fans a Valentine’s Day gift and sign one of these two players. It would be a big upgrade from the awesome food and beer that Petco Park has, after all the price of admission really does not cover quality major league baseball.

Back to Valentine’s Day, which when I was a kid I said Valentime’s Day and really had a hard time getting used to the actual pronunciation. With that said, my wife Kim calls me yesterday and asked what I made her for our first Valentine’s Day dinner 22 years ago. I could not remember, but with some clues I was able to blurt out lobster thermidor. I had no idea what that was at the time, even though I was born and raised in New England. Go Bruins, Sox, sometimes the Celtics and once and awhile the Pats.

So I ask Kim this morning what would you like for VD dinner and she says lobster thermidor as she is walking out the door to work. It is a simple recipe and one that I will enjoy making for Kim. I am heading to 99 Ranch in San Diego for the maine lobster which if I am lucky will be about a 6 pounder as they have nothing small there, should be fun!

Will follow up tomorrow with pics and reactions from family. I wish Lebron would just take over the coaching duties of the Lakers.

Peace
